2025 The Year of Letting Go

They say things come in threes. Letting go is always a hard decision, but change is a good thing. So what did we let go and change?

We sold one of our tandems. “The Green Hornet” was our second Co-Motion that we purchased in 2018, and was a great lightweight aluminum road tandem. We enjoyed every mile we rode, but having three tandems in the house, was one too many. The bike is still in Florida and the new owners are in St Pete. Close enough that our paths may cross in the future. We still have our gravel and our e-assist tandem … two is enough!

Having our home on wheels has been an awesome experience. This was a very difficult decision to let go. Tin Can Lulu provided us with amazing explorations across the US and we saw so many places the past eight years. Grand memories we made.  Two favorite areas that stand out the most are South Dakota and Colorado.

The third item we let go was our “big ass truck” also known as the BAT Mobile! We knew once we sold Tin Can Lulu that there was no need to keep the truck.

Having a tandem carrier is important and we bought a Honda Odyssey mini van. It works and protects the tandem when traveling.

We still love to explore and are switching to car adventures and other ways to see and do. We are excited for the trips we are planning for the remainder of this year.

Stay tuned for where and what we are adding to our adventures!
